See the difference
One Manchester was created following the merger of two separate housing associations, with two distinct ways of working and people offerings. The newly formed organisation commissioned us to create an employer brand and a suite of employee communications that demonstrated how they valued and respected their employees and the difference that they were making to the communities and people they served.
So, we created a unifying way of talking to their people, using a consistent vocabulary and a ‘look and feel’ for employee comms that stood out from all other One Manchester comms. A ‘People Offer’ brochure was sent first to existing employees (and later to prospective employees) to remind them of the variety of ways in which they were valued. A series of ‘Diversity & Equality’ guides and workshops were delivered to demonstrate how people were respected as individuals and could bring their whole selves to work.
Amongst a range of other initiatives, we also produced comms to promote engagement with the new Learning Management System, the new Intranet and an On-Boarding portal – all designed to enable people to see the difference they could enjoy being a One Manchester employee and the valuable difference they could make to society by working there.
