#1 – Awareness

Citation are an HR Employment Consultancy in Wilmslow. Boring right? That was their first challenge. No one knew who they were, or why they should join.

#2 – Sales team expansion

With the company growing at a rapid rate, Citation needed to expand their team of sales professionals.

#3 – Perception of cold calling

The third challenge was candidate perception of telesales based cold calling. In actuality, people in this role have meaningful conversations with business leaders every day, receive comprehensive training and support, and experience great flexibility and autonomy to hit their targets, their way.

#4 – Diversity

After seeing the success that their diverse team currently brings, their fourth challenge was to continue attracting people from different backgrounds, ages and experiences. All in all, there are many great reasons to work in this role, we just needed a bolder way to articulate them.

Our approach

With an audience ranging from young go-getters to experienced sales professionals, alongside a limited budget, we had to ensure we planned and executed the campaign efficiently.

Citation is a serious name doing serious business, so our goals were to take a more playful approach, achieve high brand recall and shed light on the many positive aspects of life at Citation.

We created ‘seriously great’, taking the perception of seriousness and flipping it.

The campaign needed immediate stand out on social media and job boards. So, our answer was bold typography with straightforward and no-nonsense messages – an eye catching campaign to appeal to diverse audiences.

An approach that captured the values, culture and personality of this high achieving business.

We also know that in a tight labour market of internet savvy candidates, a streamlined online application process was critical. So we built a bespoke landing page for this campaign, reiterating the visual style, expanding on the propositions and prioritising user experience. By focusing on the hierarchy of information and communicating in a concise and impactful way, we made it compelling and easy for the candidate and the campaign the best chance of success.
